The Patton Center for Marine Science Education is open Tuesday–Saturday, 10 AM–4 PM, and welcomes all to visit, free of charge.
What Will You See & Do at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute?
The Patton Center features eight large aquaria that have been designed to replicate habitats native to the Gulf. There’s also a fun touch tank, and engaging interactive displays that life beneath the surface, display how currently work, and showcase interesting creatures like sea urchins, starfish and more!

Guided Tours
Join a free guided tour of the Wetlands Education Center every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 AM. In a 45-minute tour, you’ll receive an in-depth look into marsh ecology, the life and times of migratory birds and so much more during this tour led by an expert staff member of the center.
