Fun Week

We stayed for six nights in 235. Overall, we had a great week! Here's our review. The pros: La Mirage office staff were helpful and polite, and maintenance was timely when we called in a minor issue. The unit's view of the beach is beautiful, and its proximity to the beach and pool is hard to beat. The tile/laminate throughout the unit was nice and the upgraded kitchen counter/backsplash offers a good space for hosting dinners. The dining room table, chairs and living room TV stand were good quality and sturdy. The washer and dryer functioned well. The water pressure/temperature is great. Cons: Some elements were worn over time. All mattresses need replacing because they either slope to the sides or the middle. The sofa is getting older. The kitchen needs more knives and at least one nice cutting board. There was a weird smell in the unit, and we could not figure out its origin so we bought air fresheners. The unit could also use a de-humidifier (like the one in 233). The box outside with beach toys/chairs had a lot of rusting items in it.

Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. We’re happy to hear you enjoyed the view, the proximity to the beach and pool, and the updated features in the unit. It’s also great to know our staff and maintenance team made a positive impression. We appreciate you pointing out the items that could use attention, including the mattresses, sofa, kitchen supplies, and beach equipment. We’ll be reviewing these areas to determine what needs to be refreshed or replaced. We’ll also look into the odor you mentioned and consider adding a dehumidifier as you suggested. Your comments help us continue improving, and we’re glad you had a great week overall.

Great condo!

This year we rented a 3 bedroom condo at La Mirage and it was great. The location is great with the Gulf view and right near the boardwalk (and the pool). The furnishing were comfortable and kitchen appliances all new. Definitely looking to book 235 again (we come to Port Aransas every year), as this condo had everything.

Thank you! We look forward to hosting you again!

LA MIRAGE IS BACK !

My Family has been coming to LA MIRAGE since the mid 1980s. It has always been our One and ONLY vacation place on the Island for three DECADES . We hadn't been back for a while since our children and grandkids have all grown up. However , our recent stay was so nice and brought back such wonderful memories of our many vacations at LA MIRAGE. As always the Office staff was cheerful and friendly and had us signed in in a few minutes and provided us with info that would help us enjoy our stay. We found our room ready for us on arrival , The. Beach View Condo was clean and in good order. We ALWAYS stay on the Beach side of the facility for the excellent elevated view of the Gulf while enjoying sitting on the very roomy balcony. I am impressed with all the improvements made during construction after storm damage a few years ago. LA MIRAGE IS BACK ! TCP

Awesome Vacation

Needing a break from all the hassles that life throws your way, we really picked the right spot to relax and enjoy the last days of summer before school and work starts back up! Being school teachers we were offered a discount, and with a family of 8 it is hard to afford going somewhere until now. My wife and I had stayed with the La Mirage years ago and were waiting for it to open back up from the hurricane. Yes there was still construction going on, but they were nice and courteous and not loud at all, and they were right next door. One morning after we had gotten ready to leave, they even played some music that was tasteful and enjoyable making the experience even better. Don’t be hesitant about staying because of the construction here. Beach was great and temperatures were awesome. Will go down as one of our best vacations and we hope to return soon!!!

We were ;excited to return to La Mirage. We stayed at the same condo as we had in 2017 before Harvey. The condo was lovely; the only issue was the tar on the beach (not La Mirage's fault). Having some tar remover by the shower would be a good idea.
