June 2026 at La Mirage: Community, Celebration & Coastal Fun

June is packed with summer fun in Port Aransas and at La Mirage! From educational programs and creative activities to beach competitions and family-friendly gatherings, the month offers something for everyone to enjoy while soaking up the coastal sunshine.

The month kicks off with engaging community and educational events. On June 1, the UTMSI Summer Science Camp brings hands-on ocean learning to young marine enthusiasts, while June 3 offers an opportunity to give back through the GCFCU Blood Drive. These early events set the tone for a month centered on connection, learning, and community involvement.

Mid-month brings plenty of creativity and outdoor fun. On June 9, guests are invited to relax and get creative during Sea Shell Painting in the La Mirage Recreation Room. Fishing fans can enjoy the Ladies Powder Puff Fishing Tournament on June 12, followed by refreshing Watermelon Slices at La Mirage on June 13—perfect for cooling down after time in the sun.

June continues with some of Port Aransas’ most exciting summer traditions. The Port Aransas Beach Pole Vault takes place on June 19, bringing high-energy entertainment to the beach. Families and friends can gather on June 20 for a Father’s Day Cookout at 12:30 PM in the courtyard, a great way to celebrate with good food and great company.

The final stretch of June is all about sweet treats and family-friendly fun. Mini Banana Splits are served up on June 24, followed by the World’s Largest Swim Lesson at the Port Aransas City Pool on June 25, promoting water safety in a fun, global event. The month wraps up on a tasty note with Sunday Morning Donuts on June 28—an easygoing way to end the weekend and the month.

We look forward to celebrating summer with you all June long at Port Aransas and La Mirage! Be sure to join us for these events and make the most of everything the season has to offer by the sea.
