The Annual Whooping Crane Festival hosts a number of exciting activities for all levels of enthusiasts.
The Whooping Crane Festival has been an annual festival since 1996. Each year the Whooping Cranes visit the Texas Coastal Bend and have been a continual source of excitement and education within the area. These beautiful rare birds are fascinating and attract visitors worldwide.
The schedule boasts boat tours, sunset cruises, a reception for the whooping cranes, speakers and lecture series, photography workshops, book signings, photography tours, art classes with ‘wine & design’ and even some theatre production at the Port Aransas Community Theatre.
This is a 4 day event that attracts travelers from all over the world. Our Winter Texans look forward to it every year and can absolutely relate being called snow birds themselves. Its a family friendly enjoyable event and we hope you can make it one of your annual traditions with your family.
