July at La Mirage in Port Aransas is filled with festive summer fun, inviting guests to enjoy a variety of seasonal activities throughout their stay. The month begins with patriotic spirit as Independence Day is celebrated from July 2 through July 4, starting with complimentary 4th of July arrival gifts and culminating in a lively cookout at La Mirage alongside the City of Port Aransas fireworks display. Guests can continue to soak in the relaxed coastal atmosphere with poolside popsicles offered on July 5 and again on July 19, perfect for cooling off in the Texas summer heat.

As the month continues, local flavor and coastal traditions take center stage with recognition of the Deep Sea Roundup on July 9, celebrating one of the area’s most beloved fishing events. Mid-July brings one of the highlights of the season, The Billfish Pachanga, taking place July 15 through July 18, featuring several days of festive fun, with fresh watermelon slices served on July 18. Guests can also stop by the office on July 23 to enjoy a unique snack pairing of popcorn and pickles, adding a touch of playful charm to the week.

The month wraps up with a taste of a Texas classic on July 28, when Frito pies are served, offering a casual and satisfying treat for guests to enjoy. On June 1, the UTMSI Summer Science Camp brings hands-on ocean learning to young marine enthusiasts, while June 3 offers an opportunity to give back through the GCFCU Blood Drive. These early events set the tone for a month centered on connection, learning, and community involvement.

Mid-month brings plenty of creativity and outdoor fun. On June 9, guests are invited to relax and get creative during Sea Shell Painting in the La Mirage Recreation Room. Fishing fans can enjoy the Ladies Powder Puff Fishing Tournament on June 12, followed by refreshing Watermelon Slices at La Mirage on June 13—perfect for cooling down after time in the sun.

June continues with some of Port Aransas’ most exciting summer traditions. The Port Aransas Beach Pole Vault takes place on June 19, bringing high-energy entertainment to the beach. Families and friends can gather on June 20 for a Father’s Day Cookout at 12:30 PM in the courtyard, a great way to celebrate with good food and great company.

The final stretch of June is all about sweet treats and family-friendly fun. Mini Banana Splits are served up on June 24, followed by the World’s Largest Swim Lesson at the Port Aransas City Pool on June 25, promoting water safety in a fun, global event. The month wraps up on a tasty note with Sunday Morning Donuts on June 28—an easygoing way to end the weekend and the month.

We begin the month with a touch of holiday magic as Easter Baskets are available in the office on April 3. The excitement continues on April 4 with the La Mirage Easter Egg Hunt, a family‑friendly favorite that brings smiles to all ages. Easter Sunday arrives on April 11, reminding us to celebrate, connect, and enjoy the beauty of springtime on the coast.

Midmonth brings the Spring Fling Shop Around on April 10—a perfect opportunity to explore local vendors, discover unique finds, and enjoy a day of casual browsing with neighbors and friends. Then on April 15, everyone is invited to gather seaside for S’mores on the Beach, a cozy evening filled with sweet treats, crackling firelight, and great company.

The excitement continues with one of the biggest events of the season: Texas SandFest, taking place April 17–19. This world‑famous sand‑sculpting festival transforms the beach into a stunning outdoor gallery of creativity, artistry, and coastal celebration—a must‑see event for visitors and locals alike.

March 2026 at La Mirage: Spring Fun, Coastal Celebrations & Community Connections 

March is arriving with sunshine, coastal breezes, and a lively lineup of events here at La Mirage! Whether you’re ready to celebrate the season, meet up with friends, or enjoy a few tasty treats, this month’s calendar is packed with activities to make spring unforgettable.

The month kicks off with Margarita Madness and monthly Sip & Shuck Sundays, followed by activities like Card Night on March 3 and Line Dancing on March 4.
Movie lovers can enjoy Movie Day at Ellis Memorial Library on March 11, while food and fun come together at the Happy Hour & Potluck on March 5 and several Donuts and Coffee gatherings throughout the month.
St. Patrick’s Day cheer arrives on March 17 along with Shamrock Shakes on March 16. Spring Break runs from March 14–21, bringing a festive break for families.
The month wraps up with The Great American Trailer Park Musical on March 26 and a joyful Spring Celebration and Egg Hunt at Roberts Park on March 28.
